I am a proud native of Hartford, CT who shares a testimony that all things are possible. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who obtained a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Saint Joseph College, in 2015. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology obtained at The University of Hartford, in 2011. I obtained an Associate’s Degree in Social Services at Capital Community College, in 2009. I received my General Education Degree in 1990.
Throughout my educational journey I have worked to empower others through collaboration and advocacy. I have worked as a Sexual Assault (SA) Advocate/Counselor and Domestic Violence (DV) Counselor for adults. My responsibilities included accompanying survivors at the hospitals, police stations, and courts. Advocacy and lobbying for legislative change and training / credentialing other SA and DV counselors.
I specialize in crisis intervention and have extensive experience working with Veterans. I hold certification with the American Association of Suicidology and The State of Connecticut as a Certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. I use a realistic living approach because I understand the challenges we face in our community. Collaboratively, we will work to identify and tackle barriers that are standing in the way of you meeting your life goals.
